The Barn is now the center of our local family. We shell peas here, make sausage, celebrate birthdays, and solve the world’s problems around a table.
The coffee pot is on the long, red table. Grab you a cup and listen to the family banter…
Growing up , family gatherings were held at Nanny Emma’s and Pawpaw Ted’s house for the bird side of the family. Now, they’re mostly held in Daddy’s barn. Occasionally at my sister’s house.
The Stone Side of the family was held at my Grandma Stone’s house, then between Grandma Helen and Pawpaw Gene’s house and Momma’s house.
Now, I have stories and recipes from my childhood and my own home to tell.
