Food has been (and still is) a big part of family, church, hobbies and traditions I’ve had throughout my life.

I’m sharing the recipes that my family has made throughout the years. Some recipes have spanned five generations of my family, like Granny Mac’s Okra Gumbo.

Some recipes are newer additions, such as Firehouse Spaghetti, which came from family friends.

I’ll also be sharing the way we preserve our harvests. And the way we cook our wild game, seafood and meat animals we harvest, too.

My food philosophy has changed over the years. I still think these recipes are worth preserving. I still make a lot of them. I also have people in the family that need the recipes tweaked for health reasons.

As I work on lessening the carbs (or replacing the processed ingredients) for the recipes, I’ll make notes for them or publish the newer version and leave the original as is.

Without further ado…

Let’s get cookin’, Y’all!

The recipes in blue are already here. The ones in black are dilly-dallying and will be here soon.
