Buttermilk Biscuits

“I love you like biscuits and gravy,” is one of the best compliments a person can ever get.

You can use frozen butter you grate or room temperature butter to make mixing quick and easy.

You’ll Need:

2 c self rising flour OR 2 cups flour, 1 TBS baking powder & ½ tsp salt

¾ cup buttermilk ( or 1 TBS vinegar then milk up to ¾ cup and let sit a few minutes)

⅓ cup unsalted butter

Step 1: Preheat oven to 415° . You can bake on parchment paper or lightly butter a pan.

Step 2: Mix the flour and butter until it looks like course crumbs. Add milk and mix until a dough forms. Don’t over mix or the biscuits will be tough.

Step 3: Pat out on a lightly floured surface to about ¾” thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter, glass rim, or mason jar lid.

Step 4: Press straight down to cut out. Don’t twist for the fluffiest biscuits. Bake for 10 minutes or until barely browned on top.

Until next time, take care of the people you love and don’t forget to make a few memories worth telling.
