This pie makes its own crust.

I got the recipe from a church cookbook years ago. Just donβt use it for a pot pie crust. Please don’t ask me to tell you how I know.
You’ll Need:
Filling
4 c peeled, sliced apples
2 TBS brown sugar
Crust
1 tsp cinnamon
Β½ c soft butter
ΒΎ c sugar
1 c flour
1 egg
Β½ c chopped nuts
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350Β°. Put apples in a greased 8β pie pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Step 2: Mix crust ingredients together and sprinkle over apples.
Step 3: Bake for one hour. Cool and serve.
KellRae’s Kitchen Tips: I just want to reinforce the idea that you really shouldn’t use the crust for a savory dish.
